Patisserie Lidl Pop Up Review

On the 13th and 14th of September, Lidl held a London Fashion Week Patisserie Pop Up. As well as selling patisseries (with proceeds going to charity) there was also a chance to purchase the limited edition Lidl x Nikolas Bentel luxury Croissant Handbag. When this bag was first released a few months ago online it sold out in 2 minutes, so here was another chance to get the coveted bag.

Limited Edition Croissant bag.

The bag is made from leather and features a croissant purse. It retails for £50.

I knew how popular the bag was so I aimed to get to the pop up 2 hours before it opened at 9am. I arrived at 7am-with 79 people in front of me!

The previous day there were 50 bags available and I was hoping that there would be more than 50 available on the day I went. Unfortunately that was not the case and I did not get a bag.

The majority of the people in the queue were buying the bag to sell on for a huge profit. Later in the day, bags started appearing on sites such as eBay with prices ranging from £150 up to an eye watering £2K.

As I had been in the queue for 2 hours I still went into the pop up. Lidl were also selling pastries with profits being donated to charity.

I was disappointed not to get the bag but maybe next time!.
